Federal workers are so much better than you and me.

"Privacy laws prevent release of individual tax delinquents' names. But we do know that
as of the end of 2009, 41 people inside Obama's very own White House
owe the government they're allegedly running a total of $831,055 in back
taxes. That would cover a lot of special chocolate desserts in the
White House Mess.

In the House of Representatives, 421 people owe a total $6,524,892.
In the Senate, 217 owe $2,774,836. In the IRS' parent department,
Treasury, 1,204 owe $7,670,814. At the Labor Department, where Secretary
Hilda Solis' husband had some back-tax problems before
her confirmation, 463 owe $7,481,463. Eighty-one workers for the
Federal Reserve System's board of governors owe $1,076,733.

Over at the Justice Department, which is so busy enforcing other laws
and suing Arizona, 1,971 employees still owe $14,350,152 in overdue
taxes."

And so much more.

Victor Davis Hanson nails Obama. Again.

"Yet Obama’s petulance, I think, more likely derives from a certain
surprise — leading to anger — that originates from novel and sudden
demands for accountability. Quite simply, no one has dared question
Obama before — much less press him for deeds to match his mellifluous
words.

Did he really think he could talk his way through four years of the American presidency?

Apparently, he did, and apparently he was almost right — given that
rhetoric and sophistry earned him the presidency in the first place. In
what follows, I hold some empathy for Obama’s pique; you see in some
sense those around him suddenly changed the rules, and what in the past
had been habit and custom no longer quite applied."

Read it here.

You'll wasnt to give this Victor Davis Hanson column to your friends and neighbors.

"In just 20 months, President Obama’s polls
have crashed. From near 70 percent approval, they have fallen to well
below 50 percent. Over 70 percent of the public disapproves of the
Democratically controlled Congress. Hundreds of thousands of angry
voters flocked to hear Glenn Beck & Co. on the Washington Mall.
Indeed, things have gotten so bad that the cherubic Mormon Beck might
outdraw Barack Obama himself on any given Sunday.

All this was not supposed to be — and it has evoked a lot of anger.

Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson thunders, “The American people are acting like a bunch of spoiled brats.”

You see, hoi polloi want “easy solutions” — like trying to
close an open border, cut federal spending, and balance the budget.
Instead, they should be manning up to pay more for gas, more in taxes,
and more for entitlements for more to come across the border.

Worse still, the uninformed voter cannot seem to appreciate the
brilliance of Barack Obama, who has deigned to suffer on our behalf, in
offering only unpopular but necessary solutions. Obama has tried his
best to prepare an immature nation for amnesty, borrowing at record
levels, cap and trade, and additional trillions of national debt — the
castor oil that the obese and now constipated public for some reason
just won’t swallow."

These people need to be sentenced to long prison terms for encouraging and abetting long prison terms

"Daniel Millis, a volunteer with the faith-based organization No More
Deaths, was arrested in 2008 for littering. His crime: leaving bottles
of drinking water on trails near the Arizona-Mexico border so immigrants
walking through the desert would not die of thirst.
Last week, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth
Circuit overturned Millis' conviction, by a 2-1 vote. It was an
important ruling. However the immigration debate works itself out, we do
not want to be a country that puts humanitarians in prison for giving
water to people dying of thirst"

The alternative is being a nation that is bankrupted in part by tolerating illegal immigration.

Do you think the feds would let you skate like Al Sharpton?

I don't.

Depressing story.

Gee, you don't think global warming alarmists would lie, do you?

Sure they would.

"Estimates of the rate of ice loss from Greenland and West Antarctica,
one of the most worrying questions in the global warming debate, should
be halved, according to Dutch and US scientists."

Publicity whore Richard Blumenthal gets Craiglist to curtail ads by other whores

"One of the world's biggest providers of Internet classified advertising
abruptly shut down the "adult services" section of its U.S. Web sites
this weekend, apparently in response to criticism from prosecutors that
it had become a tool for prostitution"

All of it here.
